Things to do this weekend: Oyster Gardening →
Oh yes. I LOVE oysters, as anyone will tell you. I recently got a little into kayaking, and the folks at Kayak Staten Island introduced me to this opportunity. Especially since I’m reading The Big Oyster, the idea of me being a part of restoring the waterways of NYC is absolutely genius/wonderful/the best idea ever.

Inaugural Staten Island Brewfest 2010, starring... →
My homebrewing boyfriend Andrew will have a table alongside breweries like Dogfish Head, Ommegang, Six Point, Founders, etc. (see all participating breweries here) to serve his Chocolate Chili Porter homebrew and another TBA brew, at this year’s Staten Island Brewfest. He’s also in the homebrew competition.
